DKAT Associates, Inc. has been retained by world-class brewery in the Lake Placid, NY, Region as their executive recruiter . We are actively seeking an experienced Packaging Operator who takes initiative and is a self-starter with strong work ethic to work in their state-of-the-art brewery nestled in the majestic Adirondack Mountain Region of NYS. Our client is interested in a skilled individual with experience with complex machinery. This position is responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of all packaging equipment including, but not limited to; CFT 10-2 rotary canning line, Codi manufacturing depalletizer, Premier stainless 5 head keg washer, various conveyors, ancillary pumps and compressors. This position works closely with the Production Manager to schedule packaging runs in an efficient manner and ensure product meets all company standards for fill volume, dissolved oxygen levels and seam specifications, while minimizing product and packaging-goods loss. In addition to running and maintaining the line, this position is responsible for maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Responsibilities:

• Execute all aspects of packaging to specifications and ensure safety and quality

• Responsible for proper and timely packaging of beer

• Execute cleanup, upkeep, and maintenance of packaging area

• Work with all packaging processes including kegging, canning, CIP skid and analytical equipment

• Ensure all beer is in the proper condition (temperature, carbonation level, etc.) prior to packaging

• Adhere to established SOPs regarding yield, can fill-height, and DO levels

• Maintain proper packaging records and logs

• Maintain cleanliness of all packaging equipment and ensure regular maintenance

• Load / unload freight deliveries and shipments as needed

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working in a team environment

• Adaptable - ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

• Ability to communicate efficiently within production team and work cross functionally with other departments

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities

Requirements:

• Experience working with complex machinery

• Working experience in a production brewery a plus

• Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and complex machinery

• Enjoys working in a team environment

• Mechanically inclined with the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve quickly

• Able to adapt to a quickly changing environment

• Adhere to comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices

• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods

• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
