DKAT Associate is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head Brewer/Lead Innovations to lead brewing and innovations at a historic brewery located in Buffalo, NY. The Head Brewer will work closely with the brewing team to create award-winning caliber beers and assorted RTDs. As the Innovations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving creativity, experimentation, and growth. You will lead our innovation efforts, spearheading new product development initiatives, refining existing processes, and pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing techniques. This roll requires a visionary lead with a passion for craft beer, a keen understanding of market trends, and a proven track record of bringing innovative ideas to fruition. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the brewery’s vision and market demands

Collaborate closely with our brewing, marketing team and sales teams to identify opportunity for innovation and differentiation in the market
Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and launch new products, flavors, and brewing techniques pushing the boundaries of flavor and creativity
Research emerging trends in the craft beer industry, including ingredients, brewing methods, packaging innovations, and consumer preferences
Manage the innovation pipeline, from idea generation to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across brewing processes, quality control measures, and sustainability practices
Work with marketing to conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify gaps and opportunities for expansion
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Brewing Science, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field. Master Brewer degree a plus with strong brewing principles
Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial brewing operations, with a fucus on innovation and new product development
Proven track record of successfully launching innovative beer and RTD products and brewing techniques
In-depth knowledge of brewing processes, ingredients, and quality control standards
Excellent project management skills, organized and meticulous in nature with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
Creative thinker with a passion for experimentation and pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing
