Job Description
DKAT Associates is actively looking for a Field Technician to work out of Western, NY. Our client is looking for someone who has at least 3 years of maintenance experience in the beverage equipment industry. Familiarity with installation of bottling and packaging equipment, brewing and distilling equipment a plus. Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, robotics and complex machine repair background is strongly desired. Experience with piping, pumps and chilled water systems and troubleshooting electrical controls is also a plus. Knowledge of preventative maintenance and a forklift certification is a huge plus. We need someone who is smart, willing to travel, personable, eager and looking for a long-term career with a dynamic company. In addition, our client is looking for someone who is adaptable and able to excel in a fast past environment. This is a direct hire role and offers an annual salary between $90-110K with great benefits, overtime, healthcare, vacation and a healthy 401K. Responsibilities:
Learn a full range of the equipment, components and parts the company sells for complex machinery, as well as the tools to repair them
Familiar with electronics, blueprints, drawings, and use electronic equipment to troubleshoot equipment during repairs
Travel to customers and work on-site to complete installation and repair of complex equipment
Identify and resolve problems by constituting the equipment’s documentation on mechanical and electrical systems
Properly and correctly document the solutions that could be used by colleagues for future installations and repair
Remotely access equipment and perform routine maintenance
Install and test equipment and provide customers with instructions on the proper usage on machinery
Answer telephone inquiries, assist clients and record in conjunction with the service department billing procedure
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluate the available information
Requirements:
Ideal background in brewing, wineries, distilleries, bottling or packaging a plus
3+ years maintenance experience on complex machinery
Robotics experience a plus
Maintain excellent technical and mechanical skills
Ability to travel to customer’s businesses, operate equipment and repair machinery
Personable, professional and able to work well with customers and colleagues
Welding and electrical experience
Fork-lift experience and certification strongly preferred
Ability to diagnose and solve problems based on equipment documentation
Train customers on equipment usage and troubleshooting
Maintain all tools, tools boxes, and inventory
