Director of Tap Room Operations - Western NY
Job Description
DKAT Associates, Inc. has been retained by an amazing and cutting-edge brewery in Western New York as their executive recruiter to seek out a Director of Tap Room Operations. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of tap room operations, including guest relations, across multiple sites and translate overall business strategy into operational goals and objectives to provide the ultimate guest experience. As a member of the executive leadership team, you are expected to contribute to the Company’s overall strategic goals, growth initiatives and promote products and atmosphere that differentiate the company’s brand. Responsibilities:
Promotes a positive work environment based on the company’s vision and mission
Supervises front/back-of-the-house managers and staff ensuring all responsibilities are performed to company standard and hold those teams accountable to goals set
Manages and oversees in-house events, catering and special events
Oversight of daily operations across multiple sights
Practices and enforces all company SOPs, policies, procedures, and work practices
Work with leadership team to further develop and implement KPIs
Ensures efficient schedules for staffing, events and reservations
Conducts interviews, hiring, training, assessments and performance reviews
Manage budgets, sales targets, and profitability goals for the taproom, et al
Work with marketing team with social media and marketing collaborations
Complies with all county, state and federal regulations (e.g. DOH, OSHA, DOL)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Two (2) years’ supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
Analytical, organized, and personable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, e-mail applications, POS and reporting systems
Detail-oriented, approachable and assertive
Ability to handle crisis situations, troubleshoot problems and strong decision-making skills
Experience with the craft beer industry a plus
Documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
Valid New York State Driver’s License and reliable transportation for travel as needed
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, standing and sitting for extended periods
